The NVM 2014 Team Season Has Begun

Greetings from Haiti. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I am sorry it has been so long since our last post. We had a quiet holiday season and we spent some time at home with our family. But the 2014 team season at NVM has begun and it is in full swing!

This week we have two teams on the compound with a third joining us tomorrow. I want to bring you up-to-date on what is happen here. The two teams at NVM this week are a group from Hillside Church from NJ and a team of college students from Purdue in Indiana. They are working so hard and have wonderful spirits.

After a great Sunday of worship, fellowship and playing with the kids the teams got to work. The Hillside team spent Monday in the small mountain community of Fond Chaval where they conducted a vision clinic. They saw 46 people and helped many of them with their eyesight. But the wonderful news is that 15 of them prayed to receive Jesus into their lives for the first time. God is good. Here are the sights.

Pointing. A most critical task!! Thanks Nancy.
Checking close up vision
Initial interview and sharing Christ
Building a pair of distance glasses
Checking distance vision
Playing Duck Duck Goose with the kids after the clinic
Sharing Christ with the kids

Back at the NVM compound the Purdue team was working on special projects. This is the beginning of our team season and it is a huge blessing for the teams to help get us ready. The Hillside team joined them with this work on Tuesday.

Purdue team members in the warehouse
They sorted clothing and organized them on racks
They installed racks in another container and sorted aid
The teams continue their work today. We will report in again soon. The general project work continues and the women have a couple events with the Haitian ladies. More reports and photos to come.

Please be in prayer for these teams. Their is much spiritual warfare here and your prayers make a huge difference. More soon.

Serving on your behalf in Haiti,
Jim & Cheryl Warner
