Our home in Haiti

Greetings to you all.  We had a wonderful trip to Haiti yesterday.  The flights were smooth and uneventful and our 13 checked bags all arrived safely!  We are so grateful. It is also wonderful to see our Haitian friends and to get reconnected.

We will be posting to our blog a number of times each week. Some of the postings will share with you what normal life is like here at the compound.  Others will share what God is doing through our ministry here at the compound.

Today will will start by showing you our new home.  Actually our two homes.  They have prepared two tents for us; one for Cheryl and me and one for Jamie and Janessa.

Here is a shot of one of the tents. The other is just to the left.

Here is the inside of our tent.  The hanging white drapes over the beds are the mosquito nets. The tents keep them out pretty well but the nets insure a good nights sleep!

We very grateful to the staff of the Nehemiah Vision Ministries compound. They have prepared great homes for us and their welcome and love is much appreciated. We will post frequently to let you know how things are going. Tomorrow we will tell you about the ministry of the Nehemiah Vision Ministries compound.

In the meantime, please post comments to our blog postings. We will love to hear from you.

Serving for you in Haiti,
Jim, Cheryl, Jamie and Janessa

  2. Cheryl, I have two other mosquito nets in our house if you need them. One is pretty big and the other is for a twin bed. The one for the twin bed is under Sitota's bed and the big one is in the closet in the living room. You are welcome to them if you need either. We will see you guys in a few days!
