Screen Doors
A wonderful group of 9 left Haiti a few days ago. They came to us from Living Waters Community Church in Fort Myers, Florida. The team was led by Eric Strom, one of their executive pastors. While they were here they built and installed screen doors on our team center dining hall. And now I think we will put up a sign that says, "Mosquitoes Stay Out!" They also put finishing touches on the other housing units being built at NVM. We want to say thank you to them all.
Staff Retreat in the Clouds
This past Sunday afternoon and Monday Pastor Pierre brought in Dean Trune to conduct an off-sight retreat for the US staff. So Brandon, Katie, Aubree, Brooke, Cheryl, Jim, Dianne and Esperandieu left NVM with Dean on a 2-hour drive to the top of a mountain. You can ask us later about the last 3 miles of the drive. Let's just say we were on an extremely rough steep road and cliffs were involved! In any case, we ended up at an elevation of over 5000 feet and were truly up in the clouds. And the temperature drop of 15 degrees was a welcome relief.
It is great to report that our time with Dean was life-changing. He encouraged each of us to develop our spiritual root system by exercising spiritual disciplines. He challenged us to make our primary avocation developing a passion for God. All spiritual fruit will flow from there. It was a wonderful experience and very emotional for us all. Dean ended our time by speaking into our lives. The Holy Spirit was moving and tears were flowing. It was a great time together. You can read more about Dean's ministry at www.deantrune.com.

Feeding the Hungry
There is hunger in Haiti. And there are many in the small, nearby community of Chambrun who don't have enough to eat. So periodically Nehemiah Vision Chapel has a food distribution. We conducted one this past Sunday before we left on our retreat. Here are the sights.
